Founded by Carson Meyer, a graduate of NYU with a degree in alternative medicine. After working as a birth doula and seeing first hand how the skin, our largest organ takes in information from the environment around us and  how the human body itself is a delicate ecosystem. She learned in her work as a birth doula that there is an average of 200 man made chemicals in the cord blood of newborns, many of which are used in personal care products and absorbed through the skin.

Carson strongly believe's that we are only as healthy as the environment around us and that the discussion around clean beauty must always take into consideration what is most important,  the preservation of our natural world.

C & the Moon was founded based on the belief that the way we care for ourselves has a direct impact on how we care for our planet. C & The Moon is an environmentally conscious non toxic skincare line made in Malibu California. C & The Moon products are made free of parabens, phthalates, animal by-product, dyes, heavy metals, phenoxyethanols, SLS, SLES and synthetic fragrances.

They are focused on reducing plastic waste by packaging in reuseable glass jars and recycled paper packaging. They donate a portion of proceeds to the Natural resources Defense Council.
