The creation of Beauty Warrior was inspired by my daughter, my family’s business, and a desire to create something that could be a force for good in the future.   My daughter has been an avid environmentalist for years. Insisting on a compost bin, beeswax wraps, vegie gardens, keep cups for coffee. So the environmental and sustainable aspect of this business was really important to me.

I had worked in the hair and beauty industry for over 20 years in a business that my grandfather started with his brothers back in 1928. We have had 3 generations of our family work in this business, so I wanted to create something that would honour the history of beauty in my family while adding a new sustainable element.

My  interest in clean beauty, like many I think, was sparked after some health challenges. The need to reduce my toxic loads became essential, and so began my mission to find both clean ingredients, that were also made and sourced in sustainable ways.

I wanted clean ingredients, that were cruelty free, palm oil free without micro plastics. I wanted products that supported fair labour practices and sourced ingredients sustainably and ethically. However trying to find products where all that information was accessible, was difficult and was making the process of buying a moisturiser pretty time consuming!

 So to honour my heritage, and the avid environmentalist in my family, Beauty Warrior was born. A place I could offer all the things I wanted as a consumer. A chance to help preserve the planet by creating a tribe of conscious consumers. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs,  I was also passionate about supporting other small businesses and entrepreneurs and the brands they created that  support my personal values and hopefully yours too.
